Hi, I installed your electric stand-by vacuum pump in my 1994 Socata TB21 back in 1998. On a return flight from Atlanta to the Boston area yesterday, my Aero Advantage Dual Chamber vacuum pump suddenly failed, both chambers! Thank goodness I have your system as a back up! After this incident I visited your website to refresh my memory on pre-flight testing, etc. I was surprised to find you recommend the system be "on" anytime IMC, is that correct? Is there any recommended maintenance for the system? We haven't touched it since it was installed, thankfully it functioned perfectly. One other question, how much electricity does the system use .... is it recommended to shut off strobes, etc. when the Aerosafe unit is running?
